Sam Raimi and crew return to deliver on of the best super hero movies ever released || Posted By Melanie | On 09 Apr 2008
One of the old critiques on Spidey-2 which we all know WAS amazing

The first Spider-Man succeeded in making the famous web-slinger a block buster sensation. With the second installment of the saga, Raimi and the crew sculpted a superhero action/adventure, drama, and even love story never before witnessed in a comic book adaptation...

EXCLUSIVE::James Franco Writes... || Posted By Melanie | On 09 Apr 2008
2008-04-01 04:53:05 - James Franco is heading in a new direction. The young Hollywood hottie is making plans for his future, if his acting career ever fails.

What a smart guy - a few other actors whose careers already have tanked should have made other plans. Instead, we're watching them suffer through more roles - see Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton-

The campus of NYU - New York University - and Columbia University are buzzing with eagerness. Franco has enrolled for the fall of 2008 Columbia Master of Fine
Arts Writing Program. He's gonna write love poems!

P.S. I've updated the website w/ a TV section but in the process, I accidentally deletd the PROJECT section crying so when I have time i'll set that back up again...although I don't know HOW...

Francophiles, Rejoice! EXCLUSIVE!!! || Posted By Melanie | On 09 Apr 2008
Thanks to SJ

"Stalkers, plan accordingly: I was at the Whitney Museum administrative offices for an internship interview this afternoon. I'm signing in at the security desk, only to look up and see "JAMES FRANCO" written above my name. I turn around, and, sure enough, a scruffy-looking Harry Osbourne is being introduced to a Whitney employee by a British girl, and his hair is a nice shade of bottle blond (orange, rather). As I'm waiting for security to contact my interviewer, I hear JFranc say that he's enrolled at the Columbia MFA Writing Program for Fall 2008, and he'll be taking classes at Tisch as well."..

THIS time last year, it was about the sequel. Then a cowboy flick comeback. Now Hollywood is getting ready to spread the joy, or at least, the punchlines.

One newspaper report in the US this week estimated that about half of the major studio releases in the American summer would be comedies starring some of the biggest names in the business...

A sneak peek at the Chas International Film Fest || Posted By Melanie | On 28 Mar 2008
Back in December, we reported on the launch of a new film festival called the Charleston International Film Festival. It’s a movie competition to bring to light the best and brightest new filmmakers from around the world. It’s likely you won’t know their names quite yet, but there’s a good chance you will someday. Festival organizer Summer Spooner is also the force behind the Beverly Hills Film Festival. She and business partner Brian Peacher are aiming high for their first go ’round in the Lowcountry: They’re hoping 15,000 people will attend screenings May 1-4 at the Terrace Theater on James Island. We wish them the best of luck. We do love movies around here. Spooner sent us this sneak peek at the line-up:
